Meet Laurie! Laurie is an incredible singer and has made a name for herself as Laurieann Jazzwine, singing traditional and modern jazz as well as blues and soul. Laurie is an incredibly graceful individual with astounding talent! Her singing brings on nostalgia as you’ve never felt before. Question: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
Answer: I’m not sure, I just feel compelled. I feel a joy I can’t describe. It makes me happy- in singing I’ve found myself
Q: How long have you lived or worked in Woodstock?
A: We moved to the area in 2010, so 9 years.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: France- My husband and I have been there before, and I just can’t wait to go back!
Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?
A: My favorite movies would be the ‘Harry Potter’ series, the ‘Lord of the Rings’ series, and the ‘Star Wars’ series. The first movie I ever saw in theaters was Shaft. Please don’t ask me why I didn’t pick it!
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: Enjoy yourself. Be kind and respect each other’s space
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: To perform in the Woodstock amphitheater!
Q: What is your favorite music/ 3 bands you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: My favorite music is jazz. I would see Ella Fitzgerald & Count Basie, Diana Krall, and Sammy Davis Jr.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Woodstock?
A: It’s a small town in the middle of growth.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A: Singing, Traveling and maybe some of both.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: I love doing puzzles, even 1000-piece puzzles.
Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: Family, Love, Relaxing
Q: If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose?
A: I’d be more comfortable with my husband!
Q: If you had a full-time staff member that was fully paid for, who would you choose?
Chef, Housekeeper, Driver, Coach, Physical Fitness Trainer, or Nanny?
A: Assistant to manage all my computer pages and mailers and to make me a website.
